Summer Activities for Children on a Rainy Day

July 21, 2011

Kid's favorite

Do you remember reading Highlights Magazine as a child?  Especially fun were the little activities they had in those.  The circle the hidden pictures was always fun.  I also remember having to find the too exact pictures.

If you are having a rainy day, and want to print out this picture (at bottom) that I recently did on my train ride, your kids might like to find the differences in the five marching  soldiers.  Then have them explain why there are differences.  Kids love to make up stories.  Just something to do when you have run out of ideas on a rainy day.  [Just click on the picture to get the fill sized graphic.]  This picture is also found on my art blog.   your kids might like to look at the pieces and decide what stories they tell.

If you have some favorite summer activities to share, please post a comment.
